Halloween Flowers

Use Halloween Flower Arrangements as Part of Your October Home Decor

Halloween isn't all about plastic spiders, fake cobwebs, and witches flying through the air. The holiday also has plenty of opportunities to incorporate other elements into your home decor to create a welcoming and festive environment for Halloween parties and more casual times with family and friends. When you're getting ready for the October festivities, include Halloween flower arrangements as part of your plan to decorate your home.

Decorate Indoors with Creative Centerpieces

Many homes seem to revolve around food, so create a gorgeous centerpiece for your dining room table. You'll be able to enjoy it at family meals around Halloween, plus you can keep it out if you host a party. Start with basic flower arrangements and add some other elements to really make the decorations pop.

One idea is to get a tall, narrow pumpkin, hollow it out, and set a vase of fresh flowers in it. Alternately, you can arrange smaller pumpkins and gourds in unique shapes down the center of a long table with one or two flower arrangements to add height.

Decorate Outdoors on Your Porch

Don't forget about the great outdoors as you're decorating for Halloween. The trick-or-treaters will be visiting your porch, as will anyone else that is coming or going from your house during the holiday season. If you have access to hay bales, set up one or two as the foundation, and then add pumpkins and gourds.

Don't neglect your porch furniture as a component of your decorations, to extend them beyond just outside your front door. Set up a little scene with Halloween flowers on your table and a scarecrow or witch seated there to greet guests.

Although Halloween can be a spooky holiday, it's up to you whether you want to put your own spin on it and bring some life and beauty as well. Incorporating Halloween flower arrangements gives your decorations an elegant touch. Rather than the same old decorations others around you use, you can create something that's quite pretty to view.

Spooky Sweet
